“Yes, I am Gay”

The former American Idol runner-up has finally announced what the media has been waiting for: Clay Aiken officially announced that he is gay.

Ever since he showed up in the American Idol season 2, I have been a huge fan of his. I loved his music and talent because there were barely any male singers who were capable of singing in a wide range like Clay does. One of my favorite songs is Invisible. It’s awesome and has a pretty clear message about liking someone.

However, the media really had to enter into Clay’s personal life by asking him if he is gay or not. I find that VERY disturbing. Celebrities’ lives are just the same as normal people. They run everyday lives, have a daily routine just like all of us. Would it be right for people to enter into your personal life and ask you questions you hate to answer to the public? I would.

Unfortunately, Clay had no choice but to answer the question to get the media out of his face. Clay is married to his producer and friend, Jaymes Foster and recently had a baby boy born. Because he is gay and now has a son, Clay also stated

“I cannot raise a child to lie or hide things.”

Media is just bad to many people’s lives. Ruining celebrities’ lives by announcing private information to the public; it is disgusting to see those kinds of news. Unfortunately, the world is like this and it is a cruel world.

I wish the best for Clay and his family.
